​Let us continue and for today, March 21, 2021, begin a series of meditating with more Holy Bible Scriptures to answer what is on many of our hearts today:

To live in this age is to frequently experience trouble. We are troubled within and we are troubled without. Our troubles span the spectrum of trivial to traumatic. And these various kinds of troubles — James calls them trials (James 1:2) — are to be expected. We are not to be surprised by them (1 Peter 4:12).

33 'These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.' John 16:33.

The writer of 'Hebrews' at Hebrews 13:5, reminds us to: audio-bible.com/bible/bible.html
'Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.'

And to help us faithfully endure these troubles, God gave us a very precious gift, 'provisions': psalms of lament. These Psalms are the prayers and hymns that God chose to teach us how to express ourselves to him in worship. They are God's word and the prayers of men, as has been said by many in past years.  And about one-third of them are laments.  How is that defined?

KJV Dictionary Definition: lament 
LAMENT', v.i. L. lamentor.
1. To mourn; to grieve; to weep or wail; to express sorrow.
Jeremiah lamented for Josiah. 2 Chron. 35. audio-bible.com/bible/bible.html
2. To regret deeply; to feel sorrow.
LAMENT', v.t. To bewail; to mourn for; to bemoan; to deplore.
One laughed at follies, one lamented crimes.
LAMENT', n. L. lamentum. Grief or sorrow expressed in complaints or cries; lamentation; a weeping.
Torment, and loud lament, and furious rage.
This noun is used chiefly or solely in poetry.

​He laments the destruction of His perfect world and the ongoing rebellion that keeps it in bondage to the enemy. The book of Jeremiah in particular records God’s sorrow over the desolation of His chosen land, Israel. Jeremiah 12:20–21 says, “Many shepherds will ruin my vineyard and trample down my field; they will turn my pleasant field into a desolate wasteland. It will be made a wasteland, parched and desolate before me; the whole land will be laid waste because there is no one who cares.”audio-bible.com/bible/bible.html

Genesis 6:6 records that “the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.” The idea in this verse is that God lamented at what His prize creation had become. God’s lamentations show us that He has deep feelings of sorrow when evil reigns unchecked. When wickedness in the world and within ourselves causes us to lament as God does, we are on our way to becoming wise (Proverbs 8:13).

My friends, the Bible records that God also laments over the sin and disobedience of His people (Ezekiel 33:1).

And, remember Jesus 'lamented' at the end of His ministry, Matthew 23:36-39, to wit:
36 'Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.audio-bible.com/bible/bible.html
37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.'
