 When all is said and done - how will your life 'weigh in God's balance'? Today, April 25, 2018 - May 12, 2018, let us continue our 'series' to understand 'judgment' from the Bible. What are all the different judgments in the Bible? Oh, there is not just 'one', but because Our God is a God of justice, as it is written: 'A scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom' [Psalm 45:6]. So then, there are 'several. We shall use a 'folded' 'post-card' approach due to the 'volume' of information presented. Take your time. We are studying the judgments that have already occurred. On posts dated April 11, 14, 18, 2018, we delved into the judgment of the Garden 'residents' - Adam, Eve, and the serpent. Now, let us look ever so carefully and pull nuggets of gold from the Flood of Noah's day. [Genesis 5-8] But, because of the significance in being an 'example' of 'the last judgment', we will also look at 'the fire and brimstone judgment' of Lot's Day. [Genesis 18-19]. Please read these chapters to have a 'base' of understanding of the posts. [Acts 17:11] But, be honest with yourselves, also, EXAMINE AND JUDGE YOURSELF. [Lamentation 3:40; 1 Corinthians 11:28,31; 2 Corinthians 13:5] Then, make any necessary 'changes'. BE DOERS OF THE WORD AND BE BLESSED. [James 1:20-25] You may not have heard this message before, and, you may not hear it again. And yet, it is most important, for 'the time is near' for 'future judgments', of which the 'Flood' and 'Fire and brimstone' of the past, were actual, but, also 'prophetic' 'types and examples'. [Romans 13:12; 1 Corinthians 10:11; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:19-21] audio-bible.com/bible/bible.html On our Post-Card Post today, FIRST SOME OVERVIEW FACTS. First, let us, you and me, garner some 'conditions of the times' in Noah and Lot's days. This is so that we are able to see the seriousness of 'the Flood', and 'fire and brimstone judgments' and how merciful, and patient the Loving God was, before each of the 'just' 'judgments'. Let us see how very long He waited for the people of the world of both, Noah's day and Lot's day, to come to repentance, for God takes no pleasure in the death of sinners, but His desire is that they will come to repentance. [Romans 2:4; 2 Peter 3:9] Further, both the Flood of Noah's day, as well as the 'fire and brimstone' of Lot's day, gives us some invaluable insight into the very sure and near future judgment of mankind, before the return of Jesus Christ. We have been warned by Jesus, and the Apostles that His return will be as of the days of 'Noah' and 'Lot'. So then, then, what was occurring in those days, and, do we see such today? [Please stop and carefully study to understand such as Genesis 9:5-6; Isaiah 66:15-16; Hosea 4:1-3; Matthew 7:21-23; 15:19; 24:37-39, 44; [Luke 17:26-27; with 2 Peter 2:4-7; 3:3-4[; Luke 21:34-36; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; Jude 1:7] Do, take notes and check all the Scriptures. [Acts 17:11] How close are we, now in the 21st Century, to the future judgment - of 'fire'? Are YOU, AM I, READY TO MEET OUR GOD? [Amos 4:12] My Friends, do not 'scoff', or, be one who denies the truths of Scripture and entices others to go along with his error. [Psalm 14:1; 2 Thessalonians 1:7; 2 Timothy 4:8; 2 Peter 3:3; Jude 1:18] THE WORLD WIDE FLOOD - THE ANTIDIVULEAN AGE audio-bible.com/bible/bible.html God sent a 'worldwide' flood in judgment of mankind's sin in the time of Noah. [Genesis 7:17-24] The flood destroyed all of mankind and the animal world, except for Noah and his family, whose faith led them to obey God's command to 'build the ark'. Then, taking man's needs into consideration and for them to be able to start over, God 'sent' pairs of all the animals to Noah for safety, as well. This 'world' was known as the antediluvian world. First, let's look at the 'relationship' between God and Noah. For you see, God comes to a person for a specific reason. But, He always develops a relationship, on His initiative - FIRST THING FIRST. If there is no 'relationship', there is no 'service'. A word of caution to those who want to do things for God, OR think they are doing things pleasing God, BUT, do not have a relationship from which He 'initiated' the person to come to Him and His purpose. Until a person is 'saved', 'in Jesus'. there is no other service. You must be born-again. [See Isaiah 64:6, and John Chapter 3, especially verse 16] THIS AND THIS ONLY, IS THE WAY TO GOD, BY HIS SOVEREIGN DIRECTIONS. We learn from God's dealing with Noah, that He can take care of the 'righteous', even when He judges the 'wicked', if, the righteous are hearing and obeying His directions. Make no mistake, if Noah or his family had not 'heeded' God's warnings and instructions and adjusted and acted in faith to prepare by building the ark, Noah too, and his family would have perished in the flood. [This was God's requirement for Noah to 'have faith' for God to save him]. God could have and would have 'continued' mankind in another way. Further, this shows that God always has a 'remnant' of 'faithful people', even when all else and everyone else is 'wicked' and 'rebellious' and 'ready to be judged and destroyed.' And yet, God's ultimate plan - a family of people '....out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation...' shall not be thwarted. Are you 'in Jesus'? Do you desire to be 'in Jesus'? Are you relying on 'meeting God' through any other way, than 'faith in Jesus Christ?' These are things for YOU to personally handle with the Living God. Remember, all you have is - Today. Do you want to be - a part of 'the kingdom of God? Then, today is your day. You do not know about - 'tomorrow', and, yesterday is - gone. [Psalm 95:7; Proverbs 27:1; Hebrews 3:5-19; 4:1-13; James 4:14;] Have you taken care of 'this' most critically important matter? [THE ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH AND ONLY THROUGH, SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST] See any of the posts in any of the 'rooms', 'SALVATION', and I beg you to take care of this 'FIRST THING FIRST', OTHERWISE, YOU ARE JUST 'STUDYING' HIS WORD IN VAIN AND TO YOUR DETRIMENT, FOR YOU WILL HAVE 'HEARD THE TRUTH', 'THE TRUMPET HAS BLOWN TO YOU', AND YET, 'YOU' HAVE TAKEN NO ACTION.
